Joel often mentions the Essenes and discusses Jesus being an Essene, later dismissed for his sharing of the secret words which were then shared in totally secrecy on penalty of death. (This, Joel says, was the reason for Jesus the crucifixion.)
I have begun to develop a new curriculum for families and young children based on the teachings of Jesus, Buddha, Joel and practices found in the Dead Sea Scrolls. This will be a separate course, but will incorporate some Infinite Way principles. It is not mixing, but rather think of it as a teacher who teaches Math one day and Physics another. I have no intention of making the Physics class a Math course or vice versa.
Always, Joel's books and tapes only will be used in my Infinite Way classes, no other writings and absolutely no other tapes.
Until today, young Infinite Way families had only approved materials from Eileen Bowdin's book. However, in my professional opinion ( my Master's degree is in Elementary Education curriculum development), this is not for young families new to the work. There are few simple practices or practical methods for children. I hope to change this with the Essene materials so that young families may prepare for the mysticism of The Infinite Way. With these modified practices of the ancient Essenes, parents will be able incorporate simple spiritual principles into everyday life. I look forward to your comments and suggestions as you put these into practice.
